Matthew Mitcham, the only openly gay male athlete out of 11,028 athletes from 204 countries at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 (there are 9 lesbians too), won gold diving off the the 10m platform yesterday!  Awesome! Now we just need more out gay and lesbian athlete at the Olympics!
